We’ll be joined on both launch shows by the mighty South Australian duo, The Yearlings. Their current album ‘Luck’, mixed by Chris Shaw in Austin TX (Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow) and produced by Lucie Thorne, took out the 2023 Roots Album of the Year (Adelaide Blues & Roots Association). Their music is intimate, raw and powerful, producing a new strain of acoustic music, distilling Americana through the filter of distinctly Australian life.
We’re really proud of our new album and are champing at the bit for it to be out there living its own life! We’ll have physical albums available at both shows before its worldwide release on April 19.
It’s been nine years since our last album, but like a slow train coming, ‘The Stars, If You Look Closely’, is a welcome sight. It comprises all original songs, including two songs left unfinished by our late buddy and mandolin player, Andy Carswell, who left this world in 2016.
